The Conservation Commission is responsible for making an inventory and conduct studies of the municipal natural resources and open lands, administer municipal lands and advising the selectboard and the planning commission and working on long-term environmental projects. The Consevation Commission also owns deed restrictions on Adams Park and the Factory Point Town Green.

The Conservation Commission meets as needed. For more information about the Conservation Commission please contact the Planning and Zoning Office at (802) 362-4824 or email Lee Krohn, Planning Director.

Conservation Commission members are appointed by the Selectboard to four (4) year terms. Current members include:

  • Alan Benoit (term expires June 30, 2010)
  • Catherine Stewart (term expires June 30, 2011)

The Selectboard appoints Burr and Burton Academy students from Manchester to Town boards and commissions. The following students are appointed to the Conservation Commision as voting members:

  • Kelsey Kelleher (term expires June 30, 2010)
  • Victoria Webber (term exipres June 30, 2011)
