Town Meeting 2010 - A Vermont Tradition!

Below is the schedule of events relative to the 2010 Town Meeting. Individuals with questions are encouraged to call Linda Spence, Town Clerk, at (802) 362-1315 or email at manclerk@sover.net.

Town Meeting (floor): Saturday, February 27 in MEMS gymnasium at 1:00PM.

• Town School Meeting (floor): Monday, March 1 in  MEMS gymnasium at 7:00PM.
• Australian Ballot: Tuesday, March 2 at Town Hall between 8:00AM and 7:00PM. 

Candidates for Town Officers are required to submit petitions with at least thirty valid signatures of registered voters from Manchester. Petitions for Articles must include at least five percent of the registered voters in the Town of Manchester. Please contact the Town Clerk for more details and clarification. 

Visit the Secretary of State's website for more information about local elections. Interested candidates can download nomination petitions at the Secretary of State's page. Please note that candidates must also file with the Town Clerk a written consent to the printing of the candidate's name on the ballot no later than 5:00PM on the Wednesday after the filing deadline for nominating petitions. 

The Town is looking for suggestions to increase participation. Please email your ideas to the Town Manager. Please be sure to include your full name, address and telephone number on any correspondence. Anonymous suggestions will not be considered. 

In 2009 W. Michael Nawrath was elected as the Town Moderator for the 2010 Town Meeting.
